Authority to Act and to Release Information
The Letter of Authority confirms that you have instructed Legal i Services Ltd to act on your behalf in connection with your immigration matter and authorises third parties to release information and documents to us in connection with it. As part of opening your matter, we will ask you to complete and sign our standard Letter of Authority, confirming the following:
- You instruct Habibur R. Tafader (email: info@legali.uk) of Legal i Services Ltd (IAA registration no. F_____), 45 Ben Jonson Road, London E1 4SA, to act for you in connection with your immigration matter.
- You authorise us to be provided with any information or documents we may require in connection with your matter.
- You give your authority to collect, process and disclose any data or information as required under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and to take any lawful steps necessary to progress this matter. This includes the right to seek and disclose information to, and to process it (with your consent) through, third parties. Such third parties may include, but are not limited to: the Home Office, solicitors, barristers, local authorities, courts and tribunals, and banks and building societies.
- You confirm that you have been advised accordingly and understand your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- This authority remains in effect until you withdraw it in writing.
How the Letter of Authority Works
We will provide you with two copies of the Letter of Authority — one for you to sign and return to us, and one for you to keep for your records. We will ask for your full name, date of birth, address and nationality so that the letter can be completed, and we will not rely on the authority until we receive your signed copy. We may be unable to obtain information on your behalf from third parties until this authority is in place.
You may withdraw the authority at any time in writing. If you withdraw your authority, we will immediately stop relying on it, but any action we took before the withdrawal remains valid.
