Terms of Business

Our standard terms governing the provision of immigration advice and services.

Last updated: May 2026  |  Version: 1.0

These Terms of Business set out the basis on which Legal i Services Ltd (“we“, “us“, “the firm“) provides immigration advice and services. Please read them carefully. By instructing us, you agree to these terms.

1. Who We Are

Legal i Services Ltd is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 1, authorised in the categories of Immigration, Asylum and Protection. Our authorised adviser is Habibur Rahman Tafader.

Company Registration No: 16865534  |  Registered in England and Wales

2. Scope of Service — Level 1 Limitation

We are authorised at IAA Level 1 only. All advice and services are limited strictly to Level 1 matters within our approved categories. If your matter requires higher-level work, is complex or falls outside our authorisation, we will inform you promptly and, where appropriate, refer you to a suitably authorised adviser, solicitor or barrister. We will never provide advice beyond our authorised level.

3. Client Care Letter

Before any work begins, we will provide you with a Client Care Letter confirming:

  • The agreed scope of work
  • Our fees and payment terms
  • Estimated timescales
  • Our complaints procedure
  • Our regulatory details

Work will not commence until the Client Care Letter has been signed and returned.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete and truthful information at all times
  • Supply all requested documents promptly and in a readable format
  • Inform us immediately of any changes to your circumstances
  • Respond to our requests for information within agreed timescales
  • Not provide false, misleading or forged documents

We accept no liability for errors or adverse outcomes arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fee scale is published at legali.uk/our-fees. All fees are fixed, agreed in writing, and confirmed in the Client Care Letter before work begins.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required before work commences
  • Fees are due as set out in the Client Care Letter
  • Our fees do not include Home Office application fees, Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), translation costs, interpreter fees, expert report fees, courier charges or any other third-party disbursements — these are payable directly by you
  • Legal i Services Ltd is not VAT registered — no VAT is added to our fees

6. Refunds and Cancellation

  • If you cancel before work has commenced, any advance payment will be refunded in full
  • If work has commenced, fees will be charged proportionate to the work completed
  • No refund will be made in respect of work already carried out
  • We do not refund fees where an application is refused — refusal is a decision of the Home Office or relevant authority, not a reflection of the quality of advice given

7. No Guarantee of Outcome

We cannot and do not guarantee any outcome, approval or success rate. The outcome of any immigration application or matter is determined solely by the Home Office, tribunal or other relevant authority. We will provide honest, professional advice based on our assessment of the facts and applicable law.

8. Communication

We will communicate primarily by email and telephone. It is your responsibility to ensure contact details are current and that you check correspondence promptly. Important deadlines may be missed if you do not respond in time.

9. Confidentiality and Data Protection

We handle all personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Please see our Privacy Notice for full details.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, please refer to our Complaints Policy. You have the right to complain to the IAA if your complaint cannot be resolved internally.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the specific matter in question. We are not liable for any consequential or indirect losses arising from immigration decisions made by the Home Office or other authorities.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
