What is a Letter of Authority?

A Letter of Authority (LoA) is a document you sign to formally authorise Legal i Services Ltd to act on your behalf in relation to your immigration matter. It gives us permission to:

• Communicate with the Home Office, UKVI and other relevant authorities on your behalf
• Collect, process and disclose your personal data as required to progress your case
• Receive correspondence and information related to your immigration matter

We require a signed Letter of Authority before any work begins on your case. It is issued alongside your Client Care Letter and must be signed and returned before we commence any chargeable work.

What the Letter of Authority Covers

By signing the Letter of Authority, you confirm that you:

• Instruct Habibur Rahman Tafader (Adviser No. P059395) of Legal i Services Ltd to deal with your immigration matter
• Authorise Legal i Services Ltd to seek, disclose and process information and documents required to complete your matter
• Consent to Legal i Services Ltd sharing information with relevant third parties where necessary — including the Home Office, solicitors, barristers, local authorities, and other bodies as required
• Have been advised of your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018
